Who are the Real Liars?
My fiancee works in the car business and has for the last 15 years. He is one of the most honest people I know. It breaks my heart when I hear someone say in causal conversation that car salesmen are sleazy, thieves or liars. I can't tell you how many stories I hear from him on clients lying about their income or the condition of the car they are trying to trade. You hear the same about Lawyers and Politicians. These people are no different then any other professional. I would love to hear from those folks who are blacklisted because of their profession and examples of the liars they deal with.

I am a massage therapist- and since there is such a major stygma surrounding my profession, that MTs do all this sexual stuff, etc.. then people, esp. men, assume that its something every massage therapist offers. It totally drives me CRAZY, especially since I would rather eat my own POOP than to even look at a clients thingamajig...
It also irks me when some massage therapists advertise themselves AS massage therapists, but are actually serving people in a way that is totally unrelated to massage. Thats very dishonest and makes it hard for normal people to find someone that will not sexually assault them later. For some people, their first massage ends up being their last, because of this problem.
I think the world is full of liars. None so great as the profession I am in. I am a nurse practitioner with my own clinic which treats predominately poor people. I am the only provider in the town of 20+ doctors that will take medicaid and medicare and yet I have had numerous doctors and other staff steal from me, lie about what they will do, embezzle money, former staff to fix medical records so that they are falsified and have caused me to have to reapply for tax id, m/m provider numbers, in addition to not paying my taxes or bills for the last year. We have not gotten a check from Medicare since March and here it is almost December and when we call, no one knows anything. I will probably end up going bankrupt and having to close my clinic and then my patients will have nowhere to go for medical care. Do you think that any of these doctors care? No they don't. They can't wait to see me close because they have all the power and do not want a lowly nurse practitioner to be in a clinic because we might "threaten them" patients might want to see us instead of the mighty doctor. How far from the truth when the law is totally on their side saying that nurse practitioners must have a doctor as a collaborative physician overseeing what we do to make sure we do everything "right". Well guess what? They wouldn't know right from wrong if it hit them in the face. They don't want to dirty their hands with these poor people because it might get them dirty and they might not make a buck which is all they worry about. And there are some nurse practitioners who are just as bad as the doctors and want to be in with the docs so bad that they will make other NPs look bad to the doctor in order to make themselves look good. Every last one of these swine are unfaithful to their spouses and most are on their 2nd or 3rd go round. And yet, patients continue to go to them and don't care that the doctors are immoral and unethical. Those patients just want to go to the doctors who are "gods" in their eyes and in the doctor's eyes as well.
It is one big lying, cheating community and state that allows such a thing to go on. But what happens to the poor people? If my clinic closes they will have to frequent the ER a lot more than they have been doing and are treated like dirt or worse when they do go to the ER. I do not want this for my patients. Most are good people who are down on their luck and just want to be treated like human beings and that is what i do - but where is it getting me? Bankrupt from all the theivery and lying by the very professionals who are supposed to take the hippocratic oath to care for all people regardless of their ability to pay or bathe or have a little knowledge.
This is such a dirty rotten way to treat people and the person who tries to help those in most need.
My son is studying to be a lawyer. One show I always have him watch is Judge Judy. I am FASCINATED that when asked a yes or no question, people will tell a whole TRUCKLOAD OF BULLSHIT rather than say yes or no.
This is a lie of omission. If you dont like liars, dont be one.
